Yes, it is one huge experiment at 806. Ever since Bryn and Henry started showing their personalities, we were on the lookout for any gender differences since as twins we really don't raise them differently. When they first started talking Henry was really into saying planes, cars and bikes and I remember thinking to myself how interesting it was to see that "boy gene" emerge. But since then I only occasionally see it from either one of them. I am a huge fan of Marlo Thomas and her "Free to Be You and Me" and I have tried pretty hard to not push either one towards what soceity views as boy/girl tendencies.
Henry and Bryn are ALWAYS playing together so they will both be banging hammers, then rocking their dolls followed by cooking some eats in the play kitchen. Other than their blankies, they really don't have any specific toys that are their own. Yes, Bryn always drinks out of the pink cups which it probably my fault. I know that if we would have had them separately things would probably be very different in more ways than the obvious. I love to see Henry tending to his dolls and wearing heels just as much as I enjoy seeing Bryn wrestling and fighting over the toy screwdriver and circular sander.
I have told several friends lately that I am already dreading the day that one of them is told that they shouldn't play with "girl/boy" toys. Would it be weird to be their human shadow until they get to puberty? That's when Jay can take over!
I guess it's all food for thought, and some deep thought it is, as I am in constant awe watching them grow.

Just realized that I forgot about two backpacks that I bought at the fall resale. Didn't realize what a hit they would be until now. They pack them full of fruit and veggies from their market stand and take them with them everywhere. And now what would make the outfit complete but a pair of high heels!

Henry was in diaper, heels and screaming "Go Badgers!" Now top that huh?
