It's "Chicken dance" time again...

Last weekend we got the whole Affies side of the family together at the lake, because how could we miss the 88th Annual St. Phillip's Church picnic/chicken dinner/polka fest/game emporium? Hanging out lakeside, a little tubing, a little bean-bagging, a dunk tank, and of course, chicken, all the fixins and pie. Lot's of pie...

Two peas in a pod...Mia and Alli.

Here we are waiting in our pew to be called down to eat.

Here's the kiddos' slice of cherry, just as it stopped looking like pie.

We snuck a photo of the "pie room". All the church ladies make a couple pies for the big event, and they sit neatly on shelves waiting to be sliced.

Uncle Shawn and "baby Mia" on the polka floor.

There was a crew filming the event for the Sunshine Polka Party Variety Show and they asked for clearance to include footage of Bryn and Henry. Why wouldn't we want them to get a little face time on the Sunshine Polka Party Variety Show?

For the second year in a row, Henry and Bryn were mentored by this super cute couple.

Our very own little polka/waltz team.

We're already looking forward to next year's 89th annual "Chicken Dance" event...when Henry and Bryn will probably be mentoring Mia and Allison as they too dance around on the floor to the "tuba tunes"! Thanks for a great weekend at the lake (and at Rudolph too)!
