Our beach

Ok, so it's technically not "our" beach but we pretend it is. All I will say is it's on Lake Mendota and we are sometimes the only ones here, other than a sweet swimming cap lady who does laps every afternoon. Bryn and Henry LOVE the sand and have come to love the water too. Henry's got a monster kick that he has perfected as we tool around the water pretending to swim.Henry trying to figure out how he could win this battle. He wanted to go swimming but once he got to the edge he decided otherwise. As you will see, daddy won.
Here is mophead, aka Bryn. Her hair is ALWAYS in her face and she brushes it away constantly. It's almost become a tic. Once I manage to fanagle a barrette or ponytail into the mess of hair, it usually ends up in her mouth, that little stinker.

Here's us doing ring around the rosie.

Since the water level is so high there was a nice sinkhole that they spent time playing in. Bryn wanted to dig to the bottom and Henry was trying to get swallowed up by it.
There is a willow tree that Bryn and Henry have watched other children climb and today they decided that they would have a go at it. Bryn was first. Didn't quite look the part in her polka dot swimming suit with ruffles. Henry scoped out his route and headed up next.
I actually had to pull her off since she was higher than my head. What a surprise since she is usually timid at jungle gyms. Go figure, it's the natural stuff she likes...
