Denver buds

This past long weekend was spent hanging out with my friend Liz and her family. They flew in from Denver and the minute they arrived we were already planning on how we could squeeze all things Madison into one weekend. It was so good to see her (since it has been YEARS since we last hung out.... pre-babies and all) and her family and to soak up all the good vibes from such a dear friend.

For starters, Bryn and Henry adored Isabel so much so that they copied EVERYTHING she did. During meals, they copied how she ate her food, they insisted on having her hold their hands to walk downstairs and if she did anything they found remotely funny to a 2 year old, they tried it too. If Isabel did it, they had to copy it. Hanging out with a 3 1/2 year old has it's benefits!

As for Elena, well, she could possible be the most happy baby I have ever seen. No crying or fussing from her. I asked Liz how she knew when to feed or nurse her since she never demanded much attention as my two did and still do. Liz figures that if she (Liz) is hungry then Elena must be too....... I couldn't imagine it at all.

Jay likened hanging with Juan to "hanging with Jason Bourne". Now try to figure that out.

Anyway, their time here flew by as we visited parks, the Farmer's Market, the Terrace, the zoo and breakfast at Pasquals. It was so sad to say Good Bye and we miss them already.

Here's a closer look at the wagon full I was pulling on our way to the park. Looks comfy, huh?

This is "our mountain" as Henry lovingly refers to the pebble pile at Wingra Park.

Isabel, Bryn and Henry decided to use wipes to wash our walls upstairs.

Little Elena, what a princess eating her dinner. Henry and Bryn could take some pointers from her.

Henry sharing his ride with Elena while Isabel and Bryn wanted the other double stroller. Girls.... never satisfied.

Here we all are eating up the Babcock ice cream on the Terrace.
That was followed by some dancing on the kiddo's part which then turned into racing around tables and chairs at mach speed, giggling the entire time.

Sleepy little Elena with Juan.

Did I mention that Liz is also a human jungle gym?

Liz, I miss you tons!! When can you come back?
