One crazy week

I have to say that all the pictures that follow were taken by Grandma and Grandpa (gosh, just realized they aren't called Mammabapa anymore.....) Anyway, I didn't take a single pic of them this week, nor did I want to capture on film the chaos of it all. It did cross my mind that I should take a video of one of the many meltdowns we had so I could show Jay what was going on, but I was too exhausted to get up and grab it. It was a week of slapping, throwing, crying, whining, "NOs" and just plain not listening, that had me yearning to get on my bike and head back to the clinic. Of course I wonder; have I done something to make them act this way, is this the terrible two's (oh please help me if it is), are they getting sick, or do they simply have more fun with Grandma and Grandpa then they do with me? How could they not have more fun as they complete projects to show me every day I come home whether it be a crepe paper rainbow, fall leaves to hang on Bruce's tree, or cute little jack-o-lanterns? Let's just chalk it up to goopy, runny noses and move on, shall we? Hoping next week is a little brighter.

Henners and the dinosaurs. Grandma and Grandpa said that it took them awhile to figure out what these big bony creatures used to be when they visited the UW Geology museum. What would you give to know what Henry is thinking as he looks at that dinosaur?

Check out this Glyptodon reticulatus.

I look at this following picture and I swear I can see years into the future. There seem to be certain expressions or just moments like this that the camera catches and all of a sudden I see a grown up little girl. It almost takes my breath away and I either want to hold her close and never let her get any older or I dream about what kind of daughter she will be. Will she love to read or play tag outside? Will she still know what to do to drive her brother nuts? Most importantly, will she be happy?

Showing off the fancy pumpkins that now adorn our front porch.

Now don't get excited, this isn't our 4X4. The FEC has all sorts of cool cars, trikes etc to ride on around the track. Still trying to figure out how Grandma got those pigtails in....

This roller slide is a favorite with them all!! I will have to go find this park and check it out myself.
